Questions
What is the difference between SRT and WebVTT?
Both are timed subtitle formats. SRT numbers each cue and uses a comma before milliseconds; WebVTT starts with a WEBVTT header, uses a full stop, and is the format web video players use natively.
How do I fix subtitles that are out of sync?
Shift every cue by the same amount: a positive number makes subtitles appear later, a negative one earlier. Cues that would end before the start are removed.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser.
Need subtitles from audio or video?
Audicite transcribes the recording and builds captions from word timings, with reading-speed checks, and exports SRT, WebVTT and EBU STL.
