Transcribe from a link
Paste a link to an audio or video file, a page that plays one, or a podcast.
Paste the link into the box under the start buttons and press Transcribe. It works with a direct link to a media file, a web page with an audio or video player, a podcast feed (the newest episode), or a page that links its feed.
For a YouTube link, Audicite reads the video’s public details (title, channel, date and length) and looks for the same recording where its publisher puts it: a podcast feed, the show’s website or a file linked under the video. When one matches on title, date and length, that original is transcribed, and the session says where it came from. Nothing is taken from YouTube itself.
When a video exists only on YouTube, play it on any screen and use Listen nearby, or upload your own copy: for your own video, download it in YouTube Studio (Content, then the menu beside the video, then Download).
Vimeo, TikTok, Spotify and similar sites do not allow apps to take the sound from their media, so their links cannot be used. Upload a file you have the rights to instead.
Links behind a login or a paywall, and sites whose robots.txt forbids it, are not fetched.
